January 2, 2010 The workout was more fun today! I could feel my arms, buns and thighs as I did each one - which is great news because it must mean there are muscles in there somewhere! As I was doing the flamingo portion of the "protect your knees", my husband walked in and said "Oh, reminds me of Karate Kid - are you going to do the Crane?" Years ago, when I was doing the "donkey kick" he came in and said "hee-haw, hee-haw!" I laughed so hard I could not finish. This time I did finish - after 36 years of marriage I am used to him... Funny, but one of the hardest things was holding my arms shoulder high for the 12 sets of 30 second flamingos! I am so unbelievably surprised at myself that my dedication to this blog is going to make me do this every day! I got a late start on the exercises as my oldest son, daughter-in-law and 3 year old grandson were in a car accident. All are fine but a young woman made a left turn in front of them on a snowy highway and it could have been disastrous. A third car ended up being involved so all together there were 9 people in 3 cars and no one was seriously hurt. We had to leave home at about 2:00 pm to drive an hour to rescue them. After taking them to their house, we came home, got a second car and delivered it to them to use until they get their rental. Happy New Year to us - everyone is fine!
Still working on the routine for tomorrow, so will post it by 9:00 pm PST. Thanks for reading.
